This paper is on the Ancient Chinese Civilization.Christine will be working on religion and what jobs they usually have the colour I am going to use is pink, Aiza will be working on the government and what the chinese do for fun i will be using the colour purple, Ericka will be working on culture and what they wear and the colour she will be using will be blue and, Miranda will be working on emperors and history and the colour she will be using will be green. We chose the Ancient Chinese civilization because we want to learn about the Chinese culture and stuff like their religions and traditions.


ANCIENT JOBS
Ancient China there were nine different jobs based on their social standing. The lowest class would be merchants and traders their class is called Shang. The second class is the Gong class and they jobs were craftsmen artisans and many of these people worked for the government. The third class is the Nong class their jobs were farmers and peasants. The fourth class is the Shi class the top class, their members were educated and usually ran government planned battles. If you were in the upper class you would have a lot of money and have a great life but as for the others who had to work for a living they had to work hard. The farmers had houses made of mud and straw. As a farmer your diet was noodles, bread and bean curd. As the emperors changed there were different ways in government and societies worked and how people were to preform their jobs. Sometimes the farmers would sell their daughter or daughters to the higher class as a servant. China is one of the most oldest civilizations, Chinese religion is one of the most oldest religions. These days Chinese religion is a complex mix of Chinese folk religion, Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism and Communist anti-religious sentiment. In china men were usually soldiers and labourers. They had more control than the woman and were to take care of their home. The men were scholors, merchants, slaves or government officials. The jobs of the ancient chinese woman were to live by rules set by the Confucius in his analects. Acorrding to the Confucius, the woman were only an object. They were slaves to their husbands after their marriage. The Chinese men were aloud to have more than one wife. If the Chinese woman's husband died they were not aloud to re-marry if they did they would be killed. The main job of the Chinese woman were to bear her sons. The three main religions are Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism although it has been said that the Confucianism is a philosophy school rather than religion. ancestors were worshiped because it was believed that they could control the events that happens on earth, they also worshiped the mountains, rivers, the sun, the moon, lakes and earth were some natural things that were worshiped. Most of the information indicates that Chinese religion began and evolved eternally without influence from other countries. The earliest form of writing was the sacred oracle bones. Andersson, Johan Gunnar is a Swedish archeologist and paleontologist who
wrote a book entitled "Children of the Yellow Earth" after he saw the Liu
Changshan 's collections of artifacts. Some of Liu's artifact collections are

and pigs that are all around the village and the evidence of animals that
turned up into that area: Goats, sheep, and cattle. The Yangshao people
made hooks and harpoons to catch fish into the river. In the outer part of
the village you will found another group of people and they usually called as
Hemudu people. They live near the Hangzhou Bay.

In the Ancient China people they usually wore a long robes tied with sash.
The material most used in China was silk. It was discovered right there in
China. All of their clothes are made of silk and it has a beautiful and colorful
designs like flowers. As we all know that silk is came from silkworm cocoons.
